To give our products a perfect finish, we have the in-house capability of finishing our components using lapping or honing machines.
Of course, we also polish the products to the desired surface finish at the end of the manufacturing process.
Lapping is used in medical technology in order to produce absolutely flat surfaces, which in turn grant a higher longevity of the end product.
In honing, bore holes are finished in order to average any aberrations from roundness. We use this method mainly on products for the hydraulics industry in order to achieve a roundness of only a few ten thousandth parts of a millimetre.
